An official RNC document leaked to the press last week showed exactly how Republicans plan to win in November – by drumming up fears about President Obama and his supposed "trending toward socialism." Their presentation even included a picture of President Obama as The Joker.
 
The Republicans are creating anxiety and peddling lies to divert attention from the mess they created, win more seats and set President Obama up to fail in the last two years of his term. The role of the DSCC is to level the playing field for Democratic candidates across the nation, and we're doing that by pushing back with the truth and defending our president. But we need your help to succeed.
 
First, you need to know our plan. Here's how we'll find success in November:

The DSCC's Plan for Victory in 2010

 •    Fight the Lies. Every day, Republicans are lying – on the air, in print and online. Winning in November requires fighting back against every single falsehood and letting voters know the truth – and that's exactly what we're doing. We're also working with media outlets so that our candidates and other top Democrats can let the public know the truth about Democratic proposals and Republican obstruction.

•    Get Every Voter to the Polls. A strong Democratic turnout is part of the reason President Obama enjoyed such a resounding victory in November. Democrats will need thousands of paid staffers to build upon these grassroots networks, meet voters face-to-face and boost turnout when it really matters – on Election Day.

•    Level the Playing Field. The RNC document also exposed how Republicans are working to ensure that the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision – allowing corporations to spend an unlimited amount of money in support of candidates – will give the GOP an advantage in the 2010 elections. That is why the DSCC is working hard every day to raise enough money to make sure our candidates can compete on a level playing field against the GOP's special-interest, third-party money.
