Gates: Report details highs, lows of Afghan fight (AP)

President Obama's press secretary, Robert Gibbs, updates reporters on the president's schedule during the first daily briefing since returning from Martha's Vineyard, at the White House in Washington, Monday, Aug. 31, 3009. In the meantime, President Obama was spending the afternoon at the golf course as he continues to take some vacation days back in the nation's capitol.
